Review Policy

Want your book reviewed in Word Suitcase? Here are some things I like to read:

romance, especially queer and/or trans
romance, especially with historical, fantasy, or sci-fi elements
sci-fi or fantasy, especially queer and/or trans, especially with a romance
sci-fi or fantasy that deals with language

I occasionally review other genres of fiction or works of nonfiction (on history or language, mostly).

I love supporting indie authors.

Here are some things I do not like to read:

anything with genAI elements, including on the cover, in the audio version, or in translation. NOPE YUCK GROSS BOO HISS (I Am An AI Hater)
all love and respect to the monsterfuckers, but with rare exceptions, that is not usually my thing
if your book is "cozy," that's gonna be a hard sell for me, sorry
as is "dark romance," if it's the sort of thing where one or more main characters are serial killers or mafia dons (a romance with some dark elements in it, like murder or violence, is totally fine)
in contemporary romance, no billionaire main characters
in contemporary romance, no cop main characters

If you need your book reviewed by a certain deadline, I am probably not the right reviewer for you; I have a gigantic pile of books to be read, can't work as fast as I wish I could, and naturally incline toward chaos.
